When multiple setups are required, think Ebbtide! Utilizing the two-piece Riptide® technology, the Ebbtide® was developed to run single-hole, round construction products. The Ebbtide tip and die capsules fit in the bore of the crosshead, the same way a Riptide® set would, utilizing a more traditional looking tip and die. Designed as a quick-change cartridge it encapsulates both the tip and die, specifically designed for each product, precision aligned and pinned together to form a fixed center tooling set. Due to the simplicity of this design, there are no adjusting bolts, centering screws or die block that need to be handled when doing a tooling changeover.

Having the same flow characteristics as the Riptide®, plastic is introduced to the plates and then split 180° before approaching a predetermined ramp and metering flow area of even proportions. This flow design ensures that the desired extrudate is stable and repeatable each time the job is run. Making it the most optimum technology to produce your run round profile tubing or pressure setups. The Ebbtide’s versatility provides you the ability to quickly change and run intricate multiple conductors, flat cable, ribbon cable, or profile products using Riptide® tooling.

Changeovers are efficient and can be done within a matter of minutes with no compound to be cleaned from the bore. Rapid tooling changes on a line that produces round hole to complex profiles, with the greatest of accuracy, is technology that no other crosshead manufacturer can claim and stand behind!
